Headland has extensive experience in providing well-researched and succinct DBAs, which give our clients the information they need to assess potential risk, as well as the right level of information to support their planning application.
Our business-focused consultants have the relevant archaeological experience to research and produce a clear assessment of the cultural heritage constraints of your site, as well as a coherent model of its archaeological potential. It may be possible, for example, to identify areas of your development where the risk of encountering archaeology is negligible or low, and others where it may be medium or high. We make comprehensive searches of the relevant Historic Environment Records and archives, including aerial photographic and map evidence and, where relevant, estate plans. The results of the study are then brought together to provide a clear statement of the archaeology and archaeological potential of your site and an assessment of how potential effects may be mitigated.
