We take Health and Safety extremely seriously and aim, not only to comply with industry best-practice but to exceed expectations. Archaeology is part of the planning process and must be aligned with the construction industries zero accident expectations.
One of the less acknowledged risks of our profession is driving. Our staff have to drive for long periods of time in remote rural areas on an almost daily basis. Given that 36% of road accidents involve people travelling on company business this presents a major risk, particularly in winter months when driving risks are increased.
To help our staff stay safe we have prepared a poster and leaflet (download available below) highlighting some of the main risks and how to deal with them. We have done this to help our staff be better and safer drivers in dangerous driving conditions. We want ourselves and our staff to be confident they will arrive home in one piece
