SHEQ Manager

Steve has been working in the construction sector in groundworks and civil engineering for 5 years, with a previous 2 years H&S training background. During his first 2 years he travelled the UK delivering a wide variety of training including: IOSH – Asbestos – Manual Handling – NEBOSH General.

After 2 years Steve moved into a more hands on role and became a Health & Safety advisor for a local construction company where he gained experience in a wide variety of occupational health related issues. During this time he also studied for and completed his NEBOSH diploma in under 12 months.

Steve then studied for and was awarded his chartered status with IOSH.

Since moving to Headland Archaeology Steve had embarked on a mission to have a open door policy and cement the SHEQ department as the go to place for help, info, coaching and mentoring. Headland have since successfully gained ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 which was a welcome addition to sit alongside our existing ISO 9001.

With Steve at the helm, the SHEQ department have also successfully issued monthly safety bulletins as well as instating quarterly newsletters to inform all staff on SHEQ related topics throughout the company.
