    Josh Gaunt

    Project Manager

Josh has been employed by Headland since 2013 and has progressed to the position of Project Manager, Based in the Edinburgh Office. Josh has worked on some of Headland’s highest profile projects across the country, including the Triton Knoll Cable Route, the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route and the Norfolk Vanguard/Boreas project.

He has been responsible for management of teams on projects with tight deadlines, making sure both safety and quality are a priority every step of the way. He has a particular skill set related to managing larger-scale infrastructure projects, previously in a fieldwork-based capacity, and now further into wider project management experience across a breadth of project types. His focus over recent years has been the management of multiple teams across linear schemes; managing budgets, actively updating programmes based on on-site developments; and forming strong working relationships with all stakeholders across a wider project network.

The variety of projects Josh has been involved in speak to his depth of knowledge of British archaeology, including a wide span of prehistoric sites throughout Scotland and Northern England; Roman salt working sites in Lincolnshire; Iron Age enclosure settlements and medieval sites in Newcastle and Edinburgh; and historic sites within the City of Edinburgh.
