A Vital Piece of the Puzzle

A Vital Piece of the Puzzle

Every year Headland produce a back page advertisement for the CIfA (Chartered Institute for Archaeologists) Yearbook. This year we wanted to reflect on how far we’ve come as a company from the four man band that started things in 1996 to today where we manage multi-million pound projects and employ over 170 staff. We also wanted to reference our recent acquisition by the RSK Group, the UK’s leading integrated environmental, engineering and technical services business. The theme this year was ‘Coming of Age’  which focused on the progress archaeologists have made in being taken seriously by the development sector and occupying our place alongside other professionals such as ecologists, planners, soil engineers, conservation architects etc.

The winning design incorporates this theme into a ‘project’ puzzle including engineers, planning consultants, quantity surveyors, architects and more. We represent the missing piece about to be placed to finish the puzzle.  The design was made by our Illustrator Eleanor Winter, if you want to see more of her work click here. We hope you like it!
