Salary: from £27,430.00 – £28,808.47 (depending on experience) + generous benefits package (pay review pending)

Due to a large volume of work the geophysical survey team at Headland are looking to recruit additional staff. You will be joining a team of experienced geophysicists with over 60 years combined experience.

The Role
Headland are looking to recruit career-minded geophysical supervisors with a view to building our team. This is a great opportunity to join a progressive and growing company, with an excellent reputation for delivering high quality archaeological work, which is engaged with a constant stream of exciting archaeological projects.
The posts are predominantly field-based and will involve the survey of sites, using a range of geophysical techniques but primarily magnetometry, of all sizes across the United Kingdom. You will benefit from using the extensive resources available through our training scheme alongside support from other staff to help develop your early career.

Magnetometry
Earth Resistance
Low Frequency Electromagnetics
Ground Penetrating Radar
Metal Detecting
The nature of the surveys varies from small scale projects which may be completed in a day or two to major infrastructure projects which may take several weeks. Virtually all the surveys will involve working away from your office base and travelling to new places is a normal part of this role. Weekend working may occasionally be required.
We also work within the EU and a willingness to travel is desirable.

Key skills requirements
Applicants should have relevant experience in the field and commercial experience would be preferred. However, we will consider candidates from outside the archaeology sector if they have appropriate geophysics skill sets.
