The Role
You will
- Help develop the Strategy for Research, Development and Innovation for both Internal and External purposes.
- Create efficiencies and added value through innovation and diversifying revenue streams.
- Articulate and promote a credible vision for Research, Development and Innovation within the company.

Key Responsibilities
- Developing the RDI strategy so that it delivers Headland’s existing product and service range and maintains Headland’s position as a market leader
- Helping to commercialise new ideas
- Acting as the RDI influencer for Headland within RSK Group
- Communicating and coordinating the company’s RDI output through structuring a highly effective team of subject matter experts.
- Oversee the identification, conceptualisation, development and delivery design of new technologies and existing product improvements
- Identifying areas for revenue growth and market needs
- Developing links and promoting Headland as a thought leader in this industry area
- Leading on the preparation of R & D Tax Credit data
Essential Key Skills
- You will be educated to degree level
- You can drive, hold a valid licence and are willing to drive company vehicles
- You will be open-minded, entrepreneurial, passionate about Headland’s business and proud of what it is striving to achieve with a determination to build a culture that promotes growth
- As a problem solver, if needed, you will be able to source input from outside your team in order to achieve the best results

Desirable Skills
- Your degree will be in a science or technology related subject
- You are a member of a relevant professional body
- You will have demonstratable experience of delivering research development and innovation in a relevant sector with tangible outputs
- You will have experience of translating strategy into delivery through plans, programmes people and culture
- You will have experience of budgetary responsibility and budget setting including an understanding of general corporate financial processes
- Experience in coordinating RDEC submissions and working with external auditors.
