Principal Archaeology and Built Heritage Consultant
Paul is a Senior Heritage Consultant with over 20 years’ experience in the heritage sector. They are a member of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists and responsible for the delivery, management and technical review of historic environment projects.
Paul has been involved with a wide range of transport infrastructure, energy generation and commercial development projects. Their recent project experience includes the preparation of heritage statements, assessments and all stages of environmental impact assessment. They have worked on major national infrastructure schemes as well as regional-scale projects, most of which required significant archaeological interventions.
Paul has specialist skills in the following areas: stakeholder consultation and negotiation, managing archaeological contractors from site investigation through to construction-phase mitigation, work and post-excavation analysis, undertaking historic environment desk-based and field research, scoping and designing archaeological site investigations, mitigation and heritage programmes, geographic information systems (GIS) and environmental impact assessment.
