Project Manager - Fieldwork
Ailsa has worked in archaeology and construction related roles for over 20 years. Since joining Headland in 2020 she has gained experienced of working on and managing large infrastructure projects, including Utility, Road and Rail projects. She has gained experience of managing complex evaluations and multi-stage archaeological mitigation programmes, as well as co-ordinating post-excavation programmes and producing written reports.
In her current role, Ailsa is responsible for tendering, designing, negotiating and implementing programmes of archaeological work, while maintaining strong relationships with wider project teams. Recent projects on the A12 Archaeological works and HS2 have required close client working, being embedded in the wider project team.
Ailsa also has experience of working for main contractors in the delivery of Social Value and Community Benefit clauses and outreach, and is keen to ensure project programmes deliver Value to the community. Recent projects have included Evaluation and Construction Integrated Recording within the HS2 HERDS framework, 2117 trenches and Mitigation areas on the A12 road project, and the Midland Metro Alliance Dudley and Birmingham Schemes.
