Health & Safety
Health and safety is at the heart of everything we do at Headland Archaeology. We are committed to providing a safe working environment for all our employees, subcontractors and visitors, and to meeting or exceeding all relevant health and safety legislation and industry standards.
We maintain a comprehensive health and safety management system that is certified to ISO 45001. Our SHEQ Manager and dedicated health and safety team work closely with project managers and site staff to ensure that safe working practices are followed on every project.
All our field staff hold valid CSCS cards and receive regular health and safety training, including working at height, confined spaces, asbestos awareness, and manual handling. Our project managers are SMSTS-qualified and our site supervisors hold SSSTS certificates.
Accreditations
We hold a number of health and safety accreditations, including Achilles BuildingConfidence, SMAS Worksafe, Constructionline Gold, and CHAS. These accreditations demonstrate our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of health and safety management.
