SITE ASSISTANT (GEOPHYSICS)

Salary: from £23,400.00 – 24,500.00 (depending on experience) + generous benefits package

Hours: Full time, 37.5h/week

Locations: Based at Yorkshire & North office, Cleckheaton, although travel nationwide will be required

Contract Type: Permanent following successful 3 month probationary period

The Role

Headland are looking to recruit career-minded geophysical surveyors at Site Assistant level due to an unprecedented demand for our services. This is a great opportunity to join a progressive and growing company, with an excellent reputation for delivering high quality archaeological work, which is engaged with a constant stream of exciting archaeological projects.

To join our teams you will need to be prepared to work in all weathers, on various ground conditions, with a dynamic can-do attitude. We work nationwide so working away from the office will be the norm.

Key skills requirements

Applicants with relevant commercial field experience would be preferred. However, we will consider candidates with non-commercial experience who can demonstrate they have the right attitude and energy for the job.

The following criteria are essential:

  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to drive company vehicles
  • An ability to carry out prolonged manual work in an outdoor environment
  • Up to date CSCS card (ideally Academically Qualified Person or Professionally Qualified Person) or willingness to acquire one
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Substantial knowledge of MS Office and English language

A Degree in Archaeology, or in a relevant subject, experience of magnetometer survey, and membership of the CIfA are desirable criteria for the role.
